FotoArabia is a stock photography website specializing in Middle Eastern and Arabic-themed images. Media buyers, including creative agencies and publications, purchase images submitted by our worldwide network of contributing photographers.

Our vision

The Middle East, including North Africa, is a region blessed with exceptional beauty and great cultural and geographical diversity, from the sand dunes of Arabia to the shores of the Western Mediterranean. Yet, much of this beauty remains unknown to the wider world, frequently eclipsed by political events or long-standing stereotypes. We, FotoArabia, want to record and make available the visual richness of these historic lands and enable the creators of media around the world to portray the region as it deserves to be portrayed. We believe that there is no better way to do this than through photography.

Our aim as a company is to become the leading source of Middle Eastern and Arabic-themed photography worldwide, offering high-quality royalty-free images at fair and affordable rates. We also want to provide a world-class platform for Middle Eastern photographers to enable them to express what they see and help develop photography as an art form in the region.

The team

FotoArabia was founded by entrepreneurs Mohamed Jaidah and Abdul Salam Abu Issa. Mohamed Jaidah is the Group Executive Director of Jaidah Group, one of Qatar's longest-established family businesses, with interests in the energy, automotive and industrial sectors. Abdul Salam Abu Issa is the Deputy Chief Operating Officer and Board Member of Salam International, a highly successful publicly-owned Qatari business with interests in the energy, contracting and luxury retail sectors. Mohamed and Abdul Salam are also founders of a number of media businesses operating in Qatar and regionally.

Our small, multi-cultural team is talented and ambitious, and comprises an in-house image reviewing team. Together, we cover several different nationalities. All of our technology, including the website, has been built in-house, giving us the freedom and flexibility to develop a world class service.
